Below is a list of items your dancer will need by the start of the season
A Pair of Yoga Blocks
Any pair will do, they will be frequently used in a variety or strength and stretch exercises.
A Pair of Wrist Weights
You just need one set of wrist weights. Dancers will rotate and use on their ankles
0.5-1lb for Pre-competition Team
1-2bs for Competition Team
Resistance Bands
Therabands are the most common beginner bands that we recommend
Pre-comp beginner set Red, Yellow, Green
Competition Team begiinner set Red, Yellow, Green or
11 Loop Stretch Band
There are many different stretch bands out there, please make sure you get one that has 11 loops.
Here are some optional items that will help your dancer's development
Portable Ballet Barre
Light weight and collapsable. Improve balance, flexibility, range of motion, core strength, etc.
Portable Turning Board
A practice turning board with a Marley surface used in our dance rooms that you can lay on top of carpet or hardwood.
Over the Door Leg Stretcher
Helps increase flexibility, range of motion, and balance.
